When she wakes up, Bond gets jealous again and "interrogates" her too. Later, Becky becomes Loid's mistress. Finally, Yor feels sorry for that kid in the opening whose fish died, and "comforts" him. World explodes.

which leads me to a question, I love yor and she's amazing, but I always asked myself why didn't they give Twilight one of his coworkers to play the wife role, wouldn't that be much easier?

Well, the answer is that none was available that time but we all know, it was made so for the sake of the story. Don't try to find a 100% logic.
The concept of this anime is that 3 ppl who had nothing to do with each other while being 'unique', formed a fake family. This fake family is slowly becoming real.
Although, I believe we'll have quite a bit of a drama during the end. Yor seems to be cleaning up 'traitors', namely, people that wanted/supported the alliance between the two nations (meaning against the war). Technically, she's doing exactly the opposite of what Loid wants.

Most realistic answer is that she wasn't part of the story when Spy X family was initially created so now they can create a unique character and watch how Yor is still going to be best wife

I can imagine the scenario where, Fiona will team up with Yuri to compete against them in completing the mission sooner

Gets nothing? Yor would kill anyone who tries to hurt him or Anya, does her best to look after Anya and him and while she loves her work is also really happy to get to be his wife even if it's fake. She's also really pretty too and is a good person when she's not doing her real job, so I think he gets quite a bit. Problem is he is the world's best spy, so pretty much everything is an act to him

Do you have any idea of what subtlety is? Let's say he does get "nothing" in return, let's say things play out just the same as it always been, he still seems to be happy to be with her. That little bit of leaking truth fiona saw, it's loid's genuine love and care for her and the family, that's why she's heartbroken and left the apartment in the first place. So then, he doesn't really get nothing in return, he gets a glimpse of what he had always wanted, a family.

I mean, Loid does the cooking and mending and Yor cleans and watches Anya more often since she has regular hours at the office and Loid works shifts at the hospital. That's actually a better division of labor than in the average marriage where the wife cooks, cleans, mends, and watches the children, and the husband takes out the garbage and mows the lawn once a week, occasionally does repairs around the house, and babysits his own children for an hour or two on the weekends so his wife can run errands with less hassle.

If he didn't, he would only care for the health of the arragement and not Yor or Anya. Equal exchange is not always necessary but, to Yor's credit, she does genuinely care for his daughter and for him(maybe not romantically but still) and she does the best she can over and over(and mostly fails), she is flawed, arguably to a laughable degree, but she is still committed. For some, finding someone genuine that actually cares is worth more than a good housewife
